What you’ll do!
The Fiscal Manager oversees the daily financial and accounting operations for Region 3 Behavioral Health Services to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position is responsible for preparing financial reports, developing and monitoring regional and contracted agency budgets, managing grant-related financial activities, completing internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. This position collaborates directly with the Fiscal Director and Regional Administrator to analyze financial trends, prepare and manage contracts, and provide financial insight to support informed decision-making and ensure resources are effectively managed.
What you’ll need!
- Bachelor’s degree required in business administration or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Minimum of five years experience in accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and producing financial reports.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication skills, and prioritizing multiple tasks are some of the skills you need.
- Satisfactory background check is required.

Region 3 Behavioral Health Services, one of six Behavioral Health Regions in Nebraska, is responsible for the development and coordination of publicly funded behavioral health services within its 22-county service area encompassing central and south central Nebraska. Region 3 contracts with and manages a network of community-based behavioral health providers. The system offers a comprehensive array of prevention, treatment and recovery support services for individuals across the life span experiencing a behavioral health challenge while focusing on the support of wellbeing, resiliency, recovery, and quality of life.
