**Job Title:** UPK Teacher
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated UPK Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, delivering engaging lessons, and fostering the academic and social development of Pre-school students.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- New York State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2) (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience working in a UPK, preschool, or early childhood setting
- Knowledge of and experience implementing the Creative Curriculum
- Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with NYS Early Learning Standards
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Experience collaborating with families, support staff, and administrators
- Current fingerprint clearance and required NYC DOE clearances preferred
