The Traffic & Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing vehicle inventory flow, managing lot organization, coordinating incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic, and ensuring accurate inventory reporting. This role plays a critical part in supporting the sales and service departments while maximizing operational efficiency.
Manage and track all new and pre-owned vehicle inventory
Coordinate incoming vehicle shipments and dealer trades
Ensure proper vehicle stocking, lot organization, and display standards
Monitor aging inventory and assist in inventory turn strategies
Maintain accurate records in the dealership management system (DMS)
Coordinate vehicle preparation (PDI, detailing, fueling, etc.)
Work closely with Sales Managers to prioritize vehicle placement and availability
Conduct regular physical inventory audits
Ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards
Previous automotive dealership experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Experience with inventory management systems / DMS
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
