Honest Abe Home Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a technician with a strong service background who can confidently diagnose, repair, maintain, and recommend solutions for residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking a technician with a minimum of three years of field experience who can work independently, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and take ownership of their calls.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on residential and light commercial equipment
- Service and maintain:
- Air conditioning systems
- Gas furnaces
- Heat pumps
- Ductless mini-splits
- Boilers
- Light Rooftop units (RTUs)
- Commercial split systems
- Perform electrical, airflow, refrigeration, and combustion diagnostics
- Identify repair and replacement opportunities based on equipment condition
- Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to customers
- Complete service documentation accurately and professionally
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of HVAC service experience
- EPA Certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience servicing residential HVAC equipment independently
- Ability to use tablets and mobile service software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred
- Experience with ServiceTitan
- Experience servicing light commercial HVAC equipment
- Experience with combustion analysis and airflow diagnostics
- IAQ, or controls experience

Compensation Range
$25–$45+ per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and demonstrated technical ability.
Experience Level
