Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated apprentice insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insulation installation and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects to ensure insulation is applied effectively, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort in residential homes. The insulator will collaborate with other tradespeople, including those involved in appliance delivery and cooling measure installations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Install insulation materials in attics and floors according to specifications.
- Utilize various techniques for insulation application, including fiberglass batts, cellulose blown insulation, and fiberglass blown insulation.
- Apply caulking and sealants to prevent air leaks and improve energy efficiency.
- Assist in the fabrication of custom insulation solutions for unique project requirements.
- Conduct inspections of installed insulation to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Install appliances such as refrigerators, clothes washers, and evaporative coolers.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
- Must have a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of experience in insulation installation or related construction fields
- Familiarity with power tools and equipment used in construction and insulation work.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Spanish speaker is a Plus
- 1 year of experience with the ESA, LIHEAP, or Energy Conservation Programs is preferred.
- Must pass a seven-year background check
- Must pass a drug test.

Compensation:
$18.00- $20.00 per hour
