Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee the daily operations of Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader with a strong background in hospitality management, financial oversight, and guest relations. As the driving force behind the hotel's success, you will ensure exceptional guest experiences, optimize revenue, and maintain high standards of service and operational excellence. Your leadership will inspire teams, streamline processes, and uphold Keshav Management's commitment to hospitality excellence in a fast-paced, brand-standard-driven environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operations & Brand Standards
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services to ensure smooth daily functioning.
- Implement and uphold Hyatt Place brand standards, including guest service protocols, PIP (Property Improvement Plan) compliance, and World of Hyatt loyalty program standards to enhance guest satisfaction and protect franchise standing.
- Monitor and drive performance on Hyatt's guest satisfaction tools, including HySat scores, and lead corrective action planning for any service or quality shortfalls.
- Serve as the property's primary point of contact for Hyatt brand representatives, including PIP reviewers and renovation/design teams, coordinating inspections and renovation milestones.
- Maintain effective communication across departments, including multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, to ensure seamless internal coordination.
Leadership & Human Resources
- Lead and supervise hospitality teams — including Assistant General Manager, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance leads — fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
- Coordinate with Keshav Management human resources on staffing needs, training programs, performance evaluations, and compliance with federal, Florida, and local employment law.
- Own execution of the property employee handbook and incentive programs, ensuring consistent, documented application across all departments.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop department heads and line staff, building bench strength for a newly transitioned property team.
Financial Management & Revenue Optimization
- Manage hotel operating budgets by monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue through strategic pricing and sales initiatives.
- Conduct financial operations including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, night audit procedures, and financial reporting to ownership and Keshav Management leadership to maintain profitability.
- Develop and execute revenue management strategies by analyzing market trends and comp-set performance, adjusting rates through the PMS and reservation systems to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Utilize Hyatt's Property Management System (PMS) and related booking/group tools to optimize booking processes, group business, and operational efficiency.
- Track and manage cost drivers across labor, laundry, utilities, and supplies, identifying savings opportunities without compromising guest experience or brand compliance.
Guest Relations
- Handle guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring an outstanding experience for all visitors, including World of Hyatt loyalty members.
- Personally engage with guests and review feedback channels (Hyatt guest surveys, online reviews) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with direct P&L and supervisory responsibility; prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience at a select-service or upper-select-service brand (Hyatt Place, Hilton, Marriott, or comparable) strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles, including revenue management, brand guest service standards, and property management systems (PMS); direct experience with Hyatt systems is a significant plus.
- Experience operating through a franchise transition, PIP execution, or newly acquired/converted property is highly valued.

- Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared goals.
- Experience managing hospitality teams within a fast-paced environment with a focus on guest service excellence and brand compliance.
- Familiarity with human resources practices related to staffing, training, employee relations, and handbook administration in the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of night audit procedures and multi-line phone systems is preferred.
