Peyton, CO - Meadow Lake Airport (KFLY)
Position Duties
- Maintain and repair fixed-wing aircraft in accordance with FAA guidelines and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
- Provide customer service-oriented and professional services in accordance with company guidelines procedures and policies
- Participate in employee development and training as required
- Assist in the development of comprehensive training and safety programs and help advise on the acquisition of additional aircraft when necessary
- All other duties needed to ensure safe and effective operation of aircraft and training operations at the flight school
- Maintain a safe, professional attitude toward all current and future customers as well as local pilots, co-workers and community members
- All of our staff are expected to dress to professional and safety standards according to company policies
- All staff at The Flight School are expected to attend regular safety meetings and currency training
- Duties are likely to often require the lifting, moving and handling of heavy objects, including pushing and pulling aircraft into and out of hangars
- Any other duties as assigned
Required Qualification
- FAA A&P Certificate (will also consider "A" or "P" candidates)
- U.S. Citizenship or Work Authorization
Preferred Qualification
- Experience with SLSA (light sport aircraft) or Rotax engines
- iRMT Training
- At least one year experience maintaining and repairing piston aircraft engines and airframes.
- At least three years of experience working as a GA mechanic
- FAA IA Certification
Compensation
The Flight School offers hourly positions to its A&P Mechanics. Pay ranges vary with experience, but most applicants can expect a salary or contract between $30/hour and $50/hour.
