Medical Assistant
This position is intended for the Medical Assistant to help both with our internal clinical operations with patient care. We are a primary care clinic, with concierge medicine. Medical Assistant (MA) roles/responsibilities:
Perform various office and clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to collect test samples, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients, and assist in basic examinations:
- Update and maintain all digital client records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format
- Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
- Room patients and perform initial information gathering in order to prep provider for the patient encounter
- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
- Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phones calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility as needed
- Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials, labs, imaging as needed, referals
- Will need to use and document in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; our patient texting (communication) system; be willing to take and make phone calls with patients
- Note: Our clinical office hours are: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm with an hour lunch
Applicant Should Possess:
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate
- Highly preferred: Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant
- Must be reliable with a positive, can-do attitude
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- X-Ray technician also - not required, but we would be interested
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
