Position Title: Temporary Carpenter
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (DOE)
Job Type: Temporary / Project-Based
Schedule: Full-Time Hours Available
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Carpenter to assist with residential and/or commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on carpentry experience, be dependable, work safely, and be able to complete projects with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry work, including framing, finish work, repairs, and installations
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and project plans
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other building components
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Previous carpentry experience required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in various weather conditions as required
Qualifications
- No certifications required
- No formal education requirements
- Practical carpentry experience is preferred and will be considered in place of certifications
Compensation
- $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Opportunity for overtime based on project needs
