About the Role

As a Shift Leader, you'll be responsible for leading the team during your shift, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining operational excellence, and helping develop future leaders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, leading by example, and creating an outstanding guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate team members during each shift.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming environment.
- Prepare fresh subs according to Jersey Mike's standards.
- Ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Open and close the restaurant following company procedures.
- Coach and train new employees on operational procedures and customer service.
- Delegate tasks and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
- Monitor food preparation, inventory levels, and product quality.
- Handle cash, operate the POS system, and complete daily cash procedures.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked restaurant.
- Support hiring, training, and team development initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager to achieve sales, labor, and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
