Overview
We are seeking a Senior Program Finance Analyst to support a portfolio of defense programs. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role serves as a critical business partner to cross-functional leadership, providing strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and program performance insights across complex government contracts.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in program finance within the defense sector, including forecasting, cost analysis, and compliance with government regulations, and will play a key role in ensuring successful program execution from planning through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and manage program financial baselines
- Lead development and updates of Estimates at Completion (EACs) for monthly financial reporting
- Perform variance analysis, identifying root causes, impacts, and corrective actions
- Partner cross-functionally with Program Management, Contracts, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Development to align cost, schedule, and strategy
- Support risk and opportunity assessments using quantitative financial analysis
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve program efficiency, cost control, and schedule performance
- Drive forecasting accuracy and support best practices in estimating and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and company Disclosure Statements
- Support internal and external audits related to government cost compliance
- Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, and other applicable federal regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in program finance supporting U.S. government contracts
- Experience with fixed-price contract forecasting and financial analysis
- Working knowledge of IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience supporting or working with U.S. Defense Prime Contractors
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal or defense-focused portfolios
- Familiarity with advanced financial modeling and data analysis tools
- Strong understanding of program lifecycle financial management
- Experience in audit support and compliance-heavy environments
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
