Certified Electrician — EV Charging Infrastructure | Van Nuys, CA | $40-45+/hr DOE
Here's the truth about the EV boom nobody talks about: every charger going into the ground needs a real electrician behind it. Not someone reading a manual for the first time. Someone who already knows their way around a panelboard and isn't afraid of a jobsite that moves fast.
That's who we're looking for.
This is a growing, high-volume EPC operation building out EV charging infrastructure across new construction sites in LA and the surrounding counties. Think 208V, 240V, and 480V systems, EMT and underground conduit runs, panelboards and switchgear, and blueprints you can actually read and trust yourself to execute. You'll also be the person junior installers look to when something needs to get done right the first time.
What you'll be doing:
- Installing EV charging infrastructure from the ground up on new builds
- Pulling and terminating wire to NEC and project spec
- Reading one-line diagrams and electrical drawings like second nature
- Troubleshooting control circuits and building control panels from drawings
- Mentoring installers and keeping the crew moving with a can-do attitude
- Talking directly with clients to keep projects on time and on budget
What gets you in the door:
- Active California DIR Certified Electrician license
- 4+ years electrical experience, 2+ years on construction crews
- EVITP certification a plus (or willingness to get certified)
- A valid license, reliable vehicle, and no fear of a road trip when a job calls for it
