Bartender Responsibilities
As a Bartender at Anchor Bar, you'll provide exceptional guest service while creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Responsibilities include:
- Greet every guest promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Follow Anchor Bar's standards of service, appearance, and uniform guidelines.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menu to make recommendations and suggestive sell menu items.
- Use effective salesmanship to enhance the guest experience and increase check averages.
- Accurately take guest orders, repeat them back for confirmation, and enter them into the POS system.
- Communicate special requests and order details to bartenders and kitchen staff.
- Verify guests' ages by checking valid identification and comply with all state and local alcohol laws.
- Ensure all food and beverages meet Anchor Bar's quality and presentation standards before serving.
- Monitor guests throughout their visit and respond promptly to additional requests.
- Prepare and verify takeout orders for accuracy and proper packaging when needed.
- Process guest payments accurately and present checks in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service area throughout each shift.
- Clear and clean tables and bar areas as needed.
- Refill beverages and provide attentive service to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
- Complete assigned side work, including stocking napkins, condiments, silverware, and other service supplies.
- Foster a positive team environment by working collaboratively with all staff members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty.
Pay: $21.78 - $26.23 per hour
