We are seeking a fun and fast moving Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for patient care, patient management, and making our little smiles excited to come to the dentist!
Responsibilities including/but not limited to:
- Perform coronal polishing on pediatric patients
- Obtain dental x-rays
- Assist with doctor on dental exams and documentation
- Educate children and their families on proper oral hygiene habits, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies
- Review medical records and document treatment details
- Follow infection prevention protocols
- Hygiene/Operative Room Set up/Breakdown
- Sterilization/Disinfection
- Clinical Maintenance Records
- Water Lines
- Sterilizers
- Biological Monitoring
- Inventory
- Any additional maintenance records needed from compliance
- Instrument packs
- Take out garbage
- Chart Prep/Scheduling Recare or Unscheduled Treatment
- Assist with other tasks during downtime
Skills
- Proficiency in Open Dental software for managing patient records is preferred
- Previous experience in a pediatric dental practice
- Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient care activities
