We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Weekend Live-In Caregiver to support six to seven residents in a peaceful residential care home. This position covers two 24-hour shifts: Saturday and Sunday.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meaningful work, a calm environment, and steady weekend hours.
Schedule
- Saturday: 10am - 10am
- Sunday: 10am - 10am
- Caregiver sleeps on-site during overnight hours - active hours are typically 8am - 8pm
Compensation
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders and passing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and calm environment
- Monitor residents and report any changes in condition
- Ensure safety and comfort throughout the day and night
Requirements
- Experience in caregiving, group homes, assisted living, or similar settings
- Must not have any issues with changing residents. Some residents require multiple changes per shift
- Must know how to safely operate hoyer lift
- Must have experience cooking for at least 6 people. Menu provided.
- Ability to work two 24-hour weekend shifts
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate
- Must pass background check
- CPR/First Aid preferred (or willing to obtain)
