We are seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel / Gas Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel or gas-powered vehicles in our fleet, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role involves routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and accurate documentation. Position is full time, Monday-Friday, day shift.· Experience with Diesel/Gas engine fundamentals, batteries and starting systems, ignition and computer systems, heavy vehicle hydraulics preventative maintenance and inspection, and truck steering systems.
Must Have:
· Knowledge of fuel systems, hydraulics, diagnostics, and welding.
· Plan work procedures, using technical charts and manuals
· Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles
· Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
· Read and interpret diagnostic test results to identify mechanical problems
· Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
· Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires
· Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly
Qualifications:
· High School diploma
· Utility and/or Construction Background
· Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred
· Valid Drivers License
· CDL Preferred
· Three to five years’ experience required
· Great oral and written skills
· Detail oriented
· Dexterity
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
