Garrett Churchill is a growing landscape company covering Southeastern Pennsylvania, currently seeking a dedicated, dependable landscape lead to work safely in the field. As a landscape lead, you will be responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects. This position will support the foreman in leadership by the execution of projects with advanced accuracy, efficiency, and quality. Work Schedule
- You’ll work outside 4 days per week, 10+/- hour shifts daily during daylight savings (which offers you a 3-day weekend most weeks!) The remainder of the year will be 5 days per week, 8+/- hours per day. All daily work is weather permitting. You will start at 7:00 am. Occasional Saturday work is possible. Your workday is finished when the jobsite is clean, and all tools are put back in their proper places.
- We provide transportation from our shop in Willow Grove to job sites. You’ll drive or ride
in a work truck from the shop to the job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Periodically demonstrate leadership as an advanced team player.
- Perform construction tasks at an advanced skill level with minimal supervision.
- Install landscaping materials including plantings, lighting, drainage, and grading materials.
- Manage trucks and equipment to maintain cleanliness and working order.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures and promotes company core values.
- Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Interact with homeowners, property guests, clients, and the public in a friendly and polite manner.
Requirements
- Experience in landscaping installation/construction projects (1 year minimum)
- Perform work quickly and efficiently, while demonstrating excellence in quality.
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, equipment, and techniques required
to complete tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications.
- Ability to operate standard landscaping equipment such as excavator, skid steer, loader,
compactor, etc.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to train crew members.
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance record.
- Ability to perform physical work in various weather conditions.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Reliable transportation to the shop.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. & walk long distances.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Desired, but not required:
- Industry certification i.e. ICPI, NCMA, CLT, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
