Part-Time Social Media & Content Creator (In-House)
Location: Brooklyn & Lower East Side, NYC

Pay: $17–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Fringe is looking for a creative, organized, and personable Social Media & Content Creator to join our team. We're looking for someone who understands how to capture authentic moments, create engaging content, and bring our brand to life across our social platforms.
This is an in-house role that requires traveling between our Brooklyn and Lower East Side salon locations. You'll work closely with our team to document salon life, showcase beautiful hair, highlight education and events, and capture the culture that makes Fringe unique.
Responsibilities
- Manage our Instagram and help keep our social media channels current.
- Create and schedule 2–3 Instagram posts per week.
- Capture, edit, and publish engaging Reels and Stories.
- Photograph hair transformations, our team, behind-the-scenes moments, and salon culture.
- Edit videos using trending audio and creative storytelling techniques.
- Collaborate with stylists to create content that reflects the Fringe brand.
- Help maintain a cohesive look and voice across all social media platforms.
Qualifications
- Experience creating content for Instagram and other social platforms.
- Strong photography and video editing skills.
- Familiarity with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar editing tools.
- An eye for aesthetics, lighting, composition, and current social media trends.
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with clients and staff.
- Able to travel between our Brooklyn and Lower East Side locations.
- Organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
