Position Overview
CapComm is seeking an experienced Foreman for a temporary assignment supervising laborers on an active data center construction site. This position is estimated to run 6 months to 1 year, tied to the current project timeline. While the role is temporary, there is potential for extension or transition to a permanent position based on performance and ongoing project needs. The Foreman will be responsible for daily oversight of field crews, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to CapComm's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct laborers on-site, assigning daily tasks and monitoring progress
- Enforce job site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Coordinate with the Project Manager on scheduling, material needs, and manpower
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Maintain daily field reports, labor logs, and progress documentation
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Communicate site conditions, delays, or issues promptly to management
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client identity, site details, and project scope
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on construction experience required
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred
- Experience on data center, mission-critical, or similarly regulated job sites a plus
- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong communication and crew management skills
- Must be able to pass background check and site-specific access requirements (data center sites often require this)
- Reliable transportation to job site
Position Details
- Duration: Temporary. estimated 6 months to 1 year, with possibility of extension or conversion to permanent based on performance and project needs
- Schedule: full-time, potential for extended hours based on project needs
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
