We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Speech Language Pathologist to develop, recover or maintain the communication skills of children with developmental delays. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable patients to confidently and independently carry out home programs. We have many children with autism and/or sensory processing disorders, the successful candidate will be familiar with treatment strategies and coordinate with other therapists in the facility.
Responsibilities
- Assess communication and/or feeding skills
- Recommend any necessary equipment and train in its use
- Familiar with pediatric developmental norms
- Create and implement treatment plans
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
- Collect data and document processes followed
- Regularly follow-up client
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy
- Hands-on experience with electronic medical records systems
- Familiarity with pediatric assessments
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Valid license to practice speech therapy in South Carolina
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
