The Machine Operator II is responsible for the safe setup, operation, monitoring, adjustment, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to perform equipment adjustments and minor repairs, and experience operating complex industrial machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with advanced machine operating experience who can identify mechanical issues, minimize downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment according to production specifications.
- Perform machine changeovers, tooling adjustments, and equipment setup with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions
- Diagnose equipment performance issues and make mechanical adjustments to optimize machine operation.
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges.
- Monitor product quality and make machine adjustments to maintain specifications.
- Accurately record production data, downtime, scrap, and quality information.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area .
- Assist with training and mentoring entry-level machine operators.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve equipment and production issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
