Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage electrical systems across various client sites. This vital role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate field service activities, interpret technical drawings, and ensure the seamless operation of security, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and other low-voltage systems. As a Lead Technician, you will guide a team of technicians, deliver exceptional customer service, and support system design and integration projects. Your expertise in electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, and equipment troubleshooting will drive successful project completion and client satisfaction.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate field service activities for low-voltage electrical system installations and repairs.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install and troubleshoot systems.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of security systems including alarm & access control, CCTV surveillance, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and door security integrations.
- Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Support system design efforts by providing technical input on wiring layouts, cabling routes, and equipment placement.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and system operation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, incident logs, and schematic updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in low-voltage electrical systems with a focus on security or alarm systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools for installations.
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup, network cabling, and remote access software for system monitoring.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarm systems, access control devices, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Experience troubleshooting complex security equipment issues in the field efficiently.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation related to low-voltage wiring and system design.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Physical ability to perform installations that may involve climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications such as NICET or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
