As a Substitute Teacher, you'll help ensure students continue learning in a safe, structured, and engaging classroom while their regular teacher is away.
Responsibilities include:

Deliver instruction using teacher-provided lesson plans

Create a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment

Manage classroom behavior and encourage student participation

Supervise students throughout the school day

Take attendance and maintain accurate classroom records

Communicate with school administrators and staff as needed

Follow district policies, campus procedures, and school expectations

Meet the substitute teacher eligibility requirements of the assigned school district, including a minimum of 60 college credit hours

Previous experience working with children, tutoring, coaching, or in an educational setting is preferred but not required

Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills

Ability to adapt quickly to different grade levels, subjects, and classroom environments

Professional, dependable, punctual, and positive

Ability to follow lesson plans, school policies, and district procedures

Successfully complete all required background checks and district onboarding requirements

Reliable transportation to and from assigned school campuses

Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise students throughout the school day
