Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, extensions, and texturizing treatments using advanced techniques such as balayage or ombre.
- Apply makeup and eyelash extensions to enhance clients’ features and meet their aesthetic goals.
- Offer additional beauty services such as nail care, hair threading, and straight razor shaves to provide comprehensive salon experiences.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Engage clients through excellent communication skills by understanding their needs, providing expert advice on hair care products, and upselling retail items effectively.
- Mentor junior staff members or apprentices to promote skill development and uphold the salon’s high standards of service.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling retail transactions with retail math proficiency.
- Stay current on industry trends such as hair extensions techniques or new color theory developments to continually elevate service quality.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; additional certifications in eyelash extensions or nail care are a plus.
- Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, and grooming techniques with a strong portfolio of work.
- Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Skilled in retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clientele and foster repeat business.
- Experience with advanced services such as hair extensions or straight razor shaves is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $23.30 - $28.06 per hour
