Retail Flooring Associate (Sales and Store Support)
Pay: $15.00 per hour, plus 2% commission on closed sales
Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: In person, Belleville, IL
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a hands on team member to support our flooring showroom. This role blends sales with day to day store operations, so you will be helping customers find the right flooring while also keeping the showroom organized, stocked, and running smoothly.
We are looking for someone dependable and self motivated who enjoys talking with customers, can manage multiple tasks at once, and takes pride in keeping a business well organized.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Sales and Customer Service
- Help walk in customers choose flooring, review pricing, and find the right product for their project
- Reach out to leads and follow up with customers to build relationships and close sales
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and customer questions in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare invoices and estimates and help process orders
Store Operations
- Open and close the store each day
- Keep the showroom, office, and product displays clean and presentable
- Restock samples and monitor inventory levels
- Coordinate with installers and suppliers on order timing and scheduling
- Handle basic administrative work such as filing, updating customer records, and data entry
- Support marketing efforts including social media posts and promotions when needed
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Sales background is a plus, especially in flooring, home improvement, construction, or retail
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Organized, dependable, and detail oriented
- Familiar with computers, POS systems, and basic office software
- Able to lift and move flooring samples or boxes as needed
- A positive, can do attitude
COMPENSATION AND GROWTH
- $15.00 per hour
- 2% commission on closed sales
- Room to grow as the company expands
