Position Summary: Die Cast Trimmer (2nd Shift)
Indian Motorcycle Monticello is looking for an ambitious Die Cast Trimmer to join the team! Be a part of the team supporting a new casting facility comprising of two 2500T Buhler Carat machines, StrikoWestofen melting and dosing furnaces, ABB robot extract and spray and associated peripherals.
The Die Cast Trimmer is responsible for finishing die-cast parts by removing excess material, performing visual inspections, and ensuring each part meets quality and safety standards. This is an ideal position for team members wanting to get a first step into the die cast industry and a start on a path for growth.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:30am
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Trim, deburr, grind, or cut excess material from die-cast parts using hand tools, pneumatic tools, or trimming presses.

Inspect parts for defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fills; identify and report nonconformities.

Operate trimming equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining consistent production speed

Follow work instructions, blueprints, and quality specifications to ensure accurate finishing.

Record production counts and quality data as required.

Maintain tools and workstations in clean, safe working condition.

Communicate issues with dies, equipment, or materials to supervisors or maintenance team.

Assist with sorting, packaging, 5s, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Prior experience in die casting, metal finishing, or manufacturing (strongly preferred but not required).

Prior experience in material handling preferred

Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and trimming equipment safely.

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.

Basic mechanical aptitude.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.

Compensation & Benefits: The starting pay range for Minnesota is $19/hr to $25/hr. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
