Position Summary
A Line Cook prepares food using recipes and menu items created by the Head Chef and helps keep the kitchen running smoothly while supporting the Kitchen Manager/Chef
Qualifications
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve during service
- Availability to work a minimum of four (4) days per week, including Wednesdays and Fridays
- Ability to open and close the kitchen as scheduled
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Positive attitude with a willingness to coach and support teammates
- Experience working all stations
Line Execution
- Keep pace, prioritizing tickets, maintaining calm, and organized execution
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, specs, and presentation standards
- Support teammates during high-volume periods
- Monitor food quality, temperature, portioning, and plating throughout service
- Model strong work ethic, cleanliness, and accountability
Kitchen Standards & Organization
- Ensure stations are properly set up, stocked, and broken down
- Practice food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Assist with prep, labeling, rotation, and waste reduction
- Communicate equipment or product issues to kitchen leadership promptly
- Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with FOH and management during service
- Support a positive, team-first kitchen culture
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and high-pressure environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift/pull up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 55 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity for equipment operation and the ability to perform repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and lifting
- Must possess full range of vision, hearing, and communication abilities
