Brightwater Senior Living is seeking a dedicated, relationship-focused, and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our communities and Central Office team. Under general supervision, the HR Generalist serves as an HR ambassador and trusted partner to community leaders by providing guidance, education, and support in all areas of Human Resources.
This position is responsible for leading the employee onboarding program, coordinating training initiatives, administering workers' compensation claims, supporting HR compliance, and partnering with managers to ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices. The HR Generalist serves as a liaison between the communities and Corporate Human Resources while promoting a positive employee experience and a culture of accountability.

Serve as the primary HR liaison and ambassador for assigned communities, building strong relationships with community leaders and employees.

Coordinate and oversee the company's onboarding program to ensure a consistent and engaging experience for all new hires.

Develop, facilitate, and support HR training for community leaders and employees on HR policies, procedures, compliance, and best practices.

Educate and coach managers on employee relations, performance management, documentation, and HR processes.

Administer workers' compensation claims, including injury reporting, claim coordination, return-to-work processes, and communication with insurance carriers and managers.

Assist in the administration of employee leaves of absence and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local regulations.

Ensure all required training programs are implemented and maintained across communities.

Maintain compliance with employment laws and required workplace postings across all communities and the Central Office.

Conduct periodic audits of HR files, onboarding documentation, and personnel records to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Review and update HR policies, procedures, forms, and employee documents to maintain legal compliance and organizational consistency.

Assist with employee investigations, corrective actions, and termination review processes as needed.

Support the execution and continuous improvement of HR programs and initiatives.

Partner with departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.

Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

Complete assigned tasks, projects, and special initiatives accurately and within established timelines.

Travel to Brightwater communities as needed to provide onsite HR support, coaching, and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of three years of progressive Human Resources experience.

Experience administering workers' compensation claims and employee leaves of absence preferred.

Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and employee relations.

Experience developing or facilitating employee and leadership training preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn HRIS and payroll systems (UKG experience preferred).

Ability to travel, occasionally on short notice, as business needs require.
