Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Beaman Trainer 3 is a position for nationally certified trainers who hold an advanced NCCA-accredited certification or an undergraduate degree. Beaman Trainer 3 provide the Belmont community with personal training and wellness education services.
Duties Include:

Safely and effectively take personal training clients through workouts using proper form and spotting techniques

Facilitate wellness education programming for members of the Belmont community

Maintain accurate training records, including but not limited to client session notes and training logs

Educate clients on the proper use of cardiovascular and strength equipment

Develop a positive relationship between the trainer and the client

Attend Reunions, CEUs, training and other developmental programs

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
Required Qualifications

Excellent oral communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, patrons, and guests

Excellent customer interaction skills with co-workers, supervisors, patrons, and guests

Ability to work outside conventional work hours (e.g. weekends, late nights, and some holidays)

Strong organizational skills

Must have knowledge of fitness programming including proper form, client interaction, and exercise prescription

Must possess the ability to design and implement evidence-backed exercise programs that satisfy client needs while remaining within the scope of practice as stated by their certifying organization

Ability to effectively administer pre-and post-package fitness assessments for clients
Required Education
Must be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University.
Required Experience
Advanced NCCA-accredited certification or an undergraduate degree. Previous experience with personal training is strongly preferred.
