Purpose
Using a person-centered approach, the Dietary Aide prepares meal ingredients of the highest quality and appearance in line with all safety and dietary regulations. Additionally, our Dietary Aide will assist with the serving of meals, clean up and bussing of tables as needed.
Our Dietary Aides are
Collaborative
- Partners with other dietary staff and nursing staff to ensure that each resident’s total dietary regimen of care is maintained.
- Works with team members to ensure prep, meals, cleanup and kitchen maintenance run efficiently.
- Assists with setting up for the next shift in order to ensure success of team members.
- Works with residents and their families as needed to ensure positive dining experience.
Quality-driven
- Delivers meal prep in a timely manner.
- Ensures all food is prepared in accordance with safety regulations.
- Ensures maintenance and cleaning occur according to licensing guidelines.
- Ensures that supplies are maintained. May assist with inventory as directed.
- Disposes of food and waste in accordance with policies and regulations.

Our Dietary Aides have
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence.
- Training and knowledge regarding safe food handling practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with residents and team members.
- Mental, emotional, and physical strength and stamina to perform the work required above with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Passed a drug screen, 25lb lift test, and general pre-employment physical.
- Maintenance of ongoing required trainings.
