Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Ohio teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility
- Experience working with students with Multiple Disabilities (MD) at the K-2 level preferred
- Proficient in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum as needed
- Skilled in classroom management, maintaining structured routines, and ensuring a safe, supportive learning space
- Effective communicator and collaborator with parents, staff, and service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction using modified curriculum and adapt lesson plans to meet each child’s unique needs
- Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in student IEPs
- Foster a structured classroom environment that prioritizes safety and behavioral expectations
- Monitor and document student progress, reporting regularly to appropriate stakeholders
- Collaborate with classroom aides, related service providers, and other educators to optimize student support
This full-time contract role begins September 16, 2026, and is anticipated to last approximately 12 weeks.
