Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products by highlighting new or popular items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory
- Conduct stock checks, inventory counts, and assist with stocking to keep the store organized and inviting
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
- Assist with product demos and educate customers on new offerings to promote informed purchasing decisions
Requirements
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments involving customer interaction
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle phone inquiries courteously and efficiently
- Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and inventory management
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and retail sales strategies
