Drivers transport clients safely in a timely manner, and they may have to work weekends to accomplish their duties(overtime pay applies). Common duties and responsibilities for drivers are to:
- Transport clients to and from destinations using cellphone app
- Arrive & depart destinations on schedule/on time
- Observe all safety rules of the road & legal speeds
- Keep mileage records and documentation up-to-date
- Reliable updated cellphone with a data plan to accept and track trips
- Take care of company vehicles including taking to prepaid car wash, remove trash etc.
- Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays before leaving for trips.
- Use navigation applications to determine the best route
- Always interact with clients professionally & courteously
- Follow all ADA rules and regulations for wheel chair clients
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
- Notify supervisors of repairs or maintenance needed on vehicles.
- Observe ZERO tolerance speeding, drug & alcohol policies.
- Maintain State driving licenses, regulations & certificates
- Pass random and annual drug & background checks
This is a contractor IRS 1099 job.
