Position Summary:
Repair and diagnose major components or remove/replace major components of various diesel tractors and construction equipment at the direction of the Supervisor. Pay based on experience $15-40 per hour.
Major Responsibilities:
Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of engines (gas and diesel), powertrains, PTO, wheel ends, troubleshoot electrical shorts, and lighting. Air conditioning systems, steering systems, electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors, etc., Engine bolt-on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc.,
Other duties and expectations:
· Inspect, test, and diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as computers, and gauges
· Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on equipment
· Perform mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of equipment
· Identify warrantable repairs and documents on repair order
· Maintain clean work area and safety
Qualifications:
· Must have own tools
· Valid driver’s license Preferred
· Proficiency in the use of shop tools required
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Note:
Pay: 15 to start for low experience. Starting pay higher with experience. Along with a billed hour bonus on well qualifies techs with experience.
