Job Description
The Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality windows and doors from start to finish. You will follow detailed production lists and work instructions, use a variety of hand and power tools, and inspect each phase of the assembly process to ensure products meet quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities

Perform complete assembly from start to finish, following established procedures and standards.

Read and follow production lists to determine required tasks, materials, and sequence of operations.

Identify and select the correct materials needed for each assembly job.

Inspect each phase of the assembly process to ensure products meet quality and specification requirements.

Advise team members and supervisors of any material shortages, defects, or quality issues.

Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions consistently and accurately.

Use drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively as part of the assembly process.

Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure proper fit and alignment.

Support general production and labor tasks as needed to maintain workflow and meet production goals.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines.

Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and quality targets.
Essential Skills

High school diploma, GED, or HSED.

Basic reading skills to understand production lists, control plans, and written work instructions.

Basic math skills to perform measurements and simple calculations.

Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.

Ability to safely and effectively use drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and other hand and power tools.

Ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools.

Capability to lift more than 50 pounds as part of daily work.

Comfort working in a production, assembly, or general labor environment.

Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain attention to detail throughout the assembly process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with reading basic blueprints or diagrams.

Work Environment
The site operates multiple shifts: a first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday. There is currently occasional work on Fridays, either a half day or full day, with scheduling communicated early in the week. The workday includes two twelve-minute breaks and one thirty-minute lunch break. The facility employs approximately 600 people, creating a large, team-oriented production environment. The plant is not air conditioned and can become hot, so the dress code is flexible to support comfort and safety. Steel-toed shoes are required, and clothing must be appropriate; shorts and t-shirts are allowed as long as they are not inappropriate. Individuals with long hair must wear it up in a ponytail or bun to maintain safety around machinery and tools. You will regularly use hand and power tools such as drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and other equipment as part of the daily assembly process.\

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
