Position Summary
NDM Hospitality - Rentyl Resorts is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support full-cycle accounting across multiple operating assets, which include hospitality, food & beverage, and property operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role records transactions, reconciles accounts, prepares supporting reports and workpapers, and helps deliver an accurate and timely month-end close. It is well suited to an accountant who is strong on execution and accuracy and wants hands-on exposure to resort and F&B operations.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounting & General Ledger

Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and general ledger maintenance

Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and year-end close entries

Maintain accurate and complete financial records for all property transactions

Record transactions in accordance with GAAP
Reconciliations & Cash Management

Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations

Monitor daily cash activity and compile data to support cash flow forecasting

Investigate discrepancies and resolve variances across accounts
Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly financial packages, including P&L, balance sheet, and supporting workpapers

Compile budget-versus-actual data and prepare supporting schedules for management review

Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders
Hospitality & Revenue Accounting

Maintain and reconcile PMS and POS system outputs, including room, RV site, F&B, and amenity revenue

Ensure accurate folio accounting, guest billing, and revenue recognition

Partner with front office and operations teams to ensure revenue accuracy and expense allocation

Track multiple revenue streams and ensure proper recording of all transactions
Accounts Payable & Receivable

Timely process accounts payable and vendor payments

Process accounts receivable, collections, and billing

Assist with reservation folio, deposits, and property-related reconciliations when applicable
Budgeting & Controls

Assist with annual budget preparation and periodic forecasts

Follow and apply internal controls and company accounting policies

Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting function
Audit & Compliance

Support the annual audit by preparing requested schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation

Comply with company policies, GAAP, and applicable hospitality/real estate regulations

Prepare and file occupancy / Tourist Development Tax and state sales tax returns for resort and F&B operations
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)

CPA-eligible or CHAE a plus
Experience
-
2 to 4 years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and month-end close, preferably in:

Hospitality (hotel, resort, or restaurant)

Exposure to revenue accounting, folio accounting, or property-level accounting strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliations, analysis)

Experience with the Oracle NetSuite accounting system

Experience with NCR Aloha, Oracle Simphony, and Toast Point of Sale systems

Ability to manage general ledger, AP/AR, and financial statements
