Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-time Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our family! We are a Christian early childhood education team that supports one another as well as the children & parents who come through our doors. In this role, you will be a vital support to your lead teacher by helping maintain an environment designed to meet the age-appropriate needs of each child. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s development and gain valuable experience in early childhood education. Our teacher/student ratio is small and your preschool-age children attend free.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
- Engage with children through play, educational activities, and one-on-one support to nurture their curiosity and development.
- Help with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, diapering or potty training (1's & 2's only), and outdoor play.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor individual progress.
- Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and Director.
- Assist in classroom setup, cleanup, and organization to ensure a welcoming and efficient learning space.
Skills
- Experience working with young children in a preschool or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-specific teaching strategies is preferred. Addional training is provided.
- Knowledge of classroom management skills. Additional training will be provided.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff & parents.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children and adults alike.
- Technical proficiency in operating mobile app used in our facility. Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of childhood behavior management techniques and classroom safety protocols. Additional training will be provided.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for fostering young learners’ growth.
