Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced animal care professional who enjoys both administrative coordination and hands-on pet care. This full-time position combines remote scheduling and client support responsibilities with regular in-person pet visits throughout the local service area.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in animal care, veterinary support, behavior management, rescue work, or a related field and is comfortable balancing office-based responsibilities with independent field work.
This role is well suited for someone seeking greater variety, autonomy, and long-term growth opportunities while continuing to work closely with animals.
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM administrative responsibilities
- Flexible field visits throughout the week
- Holiday availability required
- Brief evening monitoring of business communications for urgent requests and schedule adjustments
Primary Responsibilities
Scheduling & Operations
- Coordinate client reservations and service requests
- Maintain accurate scheduling records
- Match pet care assignments based on staff experience, availability, and client needs
- Monitor scheduling changes and assist with service adjustments
Client Support
- Respond to client inquiries through phone, email, and text communication
- Assist new clients through the onboarding process
- Review service requests and gather essential pet care information
- Maintain professional and responsive communication standards
Animal Care Services
- Provide in-home pet care visits and dog walking services
- Administer routine medications when required
- Care for senior pets, animals with medical needs, and pets requiring specialized handling
- Document visit details and communicate updates to clients
Care Assessment
- Review behavioral notes, medical histories, feeding instructions, and household routines
- Identify potential concerns before services begin
- Help ensure pets are paired with appropriately qualified caregivers
Additional Earning Opportunities

Qualifications
- Professional experience in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, animal behavior, rescue management, animal training, shelter operations, or a related field strongly preferred
- Knowledge of companion animal behavior and handling
- Experience administering medications and following detailed care instructions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
