Remote Part-Time Paralegal
Location: Remote
Job Type: Part-Time Contract
Compensation: $27-$30 per hour
Hours: Approximately 1-2 hours per week initially, with potential for additional hours over time
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to provide ongoing support with corporate and business entity filings. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking for flexible, remote work that can be performed alongside another position, freelance practice, or other commitments.
The role is expected to require approximately 1-2 hours per week to start, with the potential to grow as business needs evolve.
Responsibilities
- Obtain Employer Identification Numbers (EINs) for foreign entities through the IRS using Form SS-4
- Prepare and file S-Corporation elections and other IRS-related filings
- Assist with business entity conversions and redomiciliations between states
- Prepare and file amended Articles of Incorporation and Articles of Organization for corporations and LLCs
- Coordinate corporate filings with state agencies, including California, Delaware, Nevada, and other jurisdictions
- Maintain accurate filing records and track filing status and deadlines
Qualifications
- Prior paralegal experience, preferably supporting corporate, business, or transactional matters
- Experience with business entity formations, amendments, conversions, and related filings
- Familiarity with IRS filings, including EIN applications and S-Corp elections, preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment
