About SOAR:SOAR is a nonprofit mental health organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual abuse, trauma, and violence through counseling, advocacy, education, and healing-centered services. We are seeking a highly driven, results-oriented fundraiser to help expand our mission, increase donations, grow our events, and elevate our community presence.
Position Summary:SOAR is seeking a dynamic and motivated Part-Time Fundraising & Community Engagement Manager to lead fundraising growth, donor development, gala/event expansion, and social media visibility. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising who thrives on exceeding goals, building relationships, and generating excitement around an important mission. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Delaware-based nonprofit fundraising and membership in professional organizations such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Local residents preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to significantly increase annual donations
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Plan and grow fundraising events, galas, and donor appreciation initiatives to at least 12 a year.
- Identify and pursue, sponsorships, and major gift opportunities
- Increase SOAR’s social media following, engagement, and online donor campaigns and weekly social media engagement.
- Create compelling donor appeals, campaigns, and impact storytelling content
- Track fundraising metrics, donor retention, and campaign performance
- Represent SOAR professionally in the community and at networking events
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising and donor growth
- Strong event planning and sponsorship development skills
- Social media marketing experience with measurable audience growth
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with high energy, persistence, and accountability
- Passion for mental health, survivor advocacy, and mission-driven work
- AFP membership or CFRE certification preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
