POSITION: Wound Center Registered Nurse with Floating to Specialty Clinic
SHIFT: Full-Time (Day Shift)
POSITION TO BE FILLED: As Soon as Possible
JOB SUMMARY: Complete understanding of the Wound Care principles.
Knows and applies current nursing theory, principles of care and nursing procedures in performing the following functions appropriate to the age of the patient: maintains a safe and clean care environment, quality improvement, assists in the supervision of the Certified Nursing Assistant, actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of Benewah Community Hospital. Participates in a team approach to the goals and responsibilities of BCH nursing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Wound Center.
- Work closely with the General Surgeon, OR Manager, and additional staff.
- Assists with creating, reviewing, revising, and implementing policies and procedures that pertain to Wound patient care.
- Develops Educational resources, care plans, and opportunities for staff, patients, and the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current BLS, and ACLS Certification
- Wound Certified, Lymphedemia preferred
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Idaho
- Good verbal and written communication skills, team oriented, and flexible
- Computer skills: Able to learn and use any EMR or online education module used by BCH
- Wound Care experience required.
