We are currently looking for a friendly Front Desk Representative to join our dynamic and knowledgeable team. This position is available for either full-time or part-time status.

We are a high volume, successful neurosurgery practice requiring dedication and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
What’s required?

- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements in handling of patient information
- Skills with data entry, cash handling and computer programs including EMR database; experience with Athena preferred
- Ability to utilize office equipment to include scanning, copying, faxing, email and all Microsoft office suite programs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical setting is preferred
- Medical terminology skills are preferred
Duties include:
- Positively helping patients via phone and in-person when at the practice for appointments
- Opening and closing procedures
- Checking patients in and out which includes collecting patient demographics, insurance information, verifying insurance eligibility, registering patients into our health records system, scheduling patient appointments
- Answering telephone calls and other PBX operator duties
- Communicating patient needs to the medical care team and work well with other support staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Proper handling and routing of patient information such as insurance cards and IDs, medical records, patient packets, etc.
- Verify insurance and benefits and keep a working knowledge of insurance regulations
- Collect copays and monies due
- Process and direct drop-in patients
- Prepping for next day appointments
- Work with patients to properly use the patient portal
- Scheduling follow up visits and verify insurance eligibility
- Distribute mail

The pay range is $16-17/hour depending on experience.
