Home-Based + Local Prospecting | Recurring Commissions | $250/Week First-Month Stipend
If you know how to talk to local business owners, build relationships, and close a sale, this could turn into something much better than another sales job.
Local Media company is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Local Business Advertising Sales Representative. If you are inherintly a social butterfly who loves to deal with businesses, event holders,
And here's one of the nice parts:
You won't spend every day sitting in an office. In fact, we don't have one for you to sit in.
This is a hybrid home-based and in-person sales position. Some days you may be working from home making calls, sending emails, following up with prospects, and managing accounts. Other days you could be out in North Port, Port Charlotte, or Venice and stopping by to meet business owners face-to-face.
The idea is simple:
Work where the sale makes the most sense.
Build Something That Pays You More Than Once
This is not a salaried position.
Instead, it's designed for someone who wants to build a book of recurring monthly commission income.
To give you time to get started, we'll provide a $250-per-week stipend during your first month while you're learning what we offer, developing prospects, and beginning to build your customer base.
After that, compensation is commission-based.
And here's the important part:
When the businesses you bring aboard continue advertising with us, you can continue earning commissions from those accounts.
Make the sale once.
Take care of the customer.
And build an account that can continue paying you month after month.
Who Can You Sell To?
Pretty much any legitimate local business that wants more local customers.
Restaurants. Realtors. Roofers. Plumbers. HVAC companies. Attorneys. Landscapers. Doctors. Dentists. Contractors. Auto repair shops. Salons. Insurance agents. Retailers. Home-service businesses. Professional services.
You can prospect by phone and email from home, use social media and online research to identify opportunities, and then get out into the community to meet the business owners who are often much easier to sell when you're standing across the counter from them.
What You'll Actually Do
You'll identify local prospects, contact business owners, introduce them to our advertising opportunities, explain how we can help them reach local consumers, follow up with interested prospects, close new accounts, and maintain relationships with the advertisers you bring aboard.
How you develop those relationships will vary.
Sometimes it's a phone call.
Sometimes it's an email. Maybe an online Zoom.
Sometimes it's walking into a business and saying hello.
And sometimes it's recognizing an opportunity while you're already out in the community.
This isn't a "sit at home and wait for leads" sales position.
We want someone who is comfortable using the phone and computer and getting out into the communities we serve. Attending events, dropping by functions to meet decision makers
Who Are We Looking For?
Sales experience is certainly helpful, (but not necessary) particularly in advertising, media, digital marketing, business development, or local B2B sales.
But we're more interested in finding the right personality than the perfect résumé.
We're looking for someone who's personable, persistent, organized, comfortable talking with business owners, capable of working independently from home, and willing to get out and prospect face-to-face.
Knowing the region and the surrounding area is a big plus. Having existing relationships with local businesses is an even bigger one.
And you need to be comfortable hearing "no" without allowing it to interfere with asking the next person.
Because that's sales.
The Compensation
For the first month, we'll provide a $250-per-week startup stipend to help you get established.
After that, the position becomes commission-based, with the opportunity to earn recurring commissions on qualifying ongoing accounts you originate, according to the compensation agreement.
There is no guaranteed salary after the introductory period.
But there's something a salary doesn't give you:
The opportunity to build a portfolio of accounts that can keep producing income.
Bring aboard 10 good advertisers.
Then 20.
Then 30.
The goal isn't to wake up on the first of every month with the scoreboard reset to zero.
It's to start the month already getting paid for customers you've previously brought to the table — and then add more.
You'll have the freedom to work from home when you're prospecting, researching, following up, or managing accounts.
You'll also have the freedom — and expectation — to get out and meet the people who own the businesses we're trying to help.
No cubicle.
No daily commute to an office.
No tiny territory containing the same handful of prospects. The tree is full of low hanging fruits..
We're looking for the person who looks at it and thinks:
That's a lot of prospects.
Interested?
Tell us a little about yourself, your sales experience if you have it, your familiarity with , and why you think you'd be good at building relationships with local business owners.
If you're looking for a guaranteed paycheck regardless of results, this probably isn't the right opportunity.
But if you like working independently, enjoy meeting business owners, and would rather build recurring income than continually start over every month, we'd like to talk.
