Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of our restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and guest experience
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Maintain organized restaurant table management using POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Assist guests with seating arrangements, wait times, and special requests to enhance guest relations
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of guest areas
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions
Experience
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts effectively
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and billing procedures when necessary
- Experience in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize guest relations and communication skills is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations will support your success in this role
