HR Data & Systems Analyst
Location: This is an onsite position based in Riverside, CA and requires being onsite.
Pay/Salary Range: $35.00-37.00/hr.
Position Summary
The HR Data and System Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of the organization's human resources data and processes. This role conducts comprehensive audits of personnel records and HRIS data, identifies discrepancies, recommends process improvements, and delivers meaningful HR analytics to support operational excellence and strategic decision-making. The HRIS Analyst I develops executive-level dashboards and reports, monitors employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations and provides actionable insights through weekly and monthly reporting. This position requires a highly analytical, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional with a strong focus on HR operations, data integrity, continuous improvement, and organizational excellence. Success in this role will be measured by the quality and integrity of HR data, the effectiveness of workforce analytics, the reliability of HR systems, and the ability to transform workforce information into meaningful business insights that support operational excellence and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance of employee data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and personnel records.
- Develop, document, and maintain HR procedures, reporting standards, and data governance practices to promote consistency and operational excellence.
- Conduct audits of employee files and HRIS data, identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve executive dashboards, workforce scorecards, and HR metrics that support strategic decision-making throughout the organization.
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; develop recommendations that improve organizational effectiveness, operational efficiency, employee experience, and business performance.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and Information Technology to resolve data issues and support HR system enhancements and implementations.
- Support annual HR initiatives, including Open Enrollment, performance management, compensation planning, year-end processing, and internal or external audits.
- HR Systems: Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Company's Human Resources Information Systems.
- Workforce Analytics: Develop workforce analytics that identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to hiring, retention, turnover, compensation, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience.
- Executive Dashboards: Own the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of executive HR dashboards and key performance indicators.
- Project Atlas: Support the implementation, testing, optimization, documentation, and continuous enhancement of Project Atlas and future HR technology initiatives.
- Automation: Identify opportunities to automate HR processes, reporting, workflows, and recurring administrative activities to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Data Governance: Establish and maintain HR data governance standards, audit schedules, documentation, and data quality controls to ensure consistency and integrity across all HR systems.
- Business Partnership: Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to translate business questions into meaningful workforce analyses and actionable recommendations.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1–3 years of Human Resources, HRIS, Payroll, or HR Operations experience.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms (such as Paycor, Workday, UKG, ADP, or similar).
- Advanced analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Experience developing HR dashboards, executive reports, workforce metrics, and data analyses using HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that increase operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to leadership and collaborate across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment with sensitive information.
- Self-driven, highly organized, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Power Query, complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and dashboard development.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar business intelligence tools is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Experience supporting HRIS implementations, upgrades, integrations, or system optimization initiatives is preferred.Strong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
