Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that suit their needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities.
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with professionalism.
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays by organizing stock, restocking shelves, and ensuring the store is clean and inviting.
- Manage inventory levels through stocking, inventory checks, and reporting low stock items to ensure product availability.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and addressing concerns with courtesy and clarity.
- Support team supervision by assisting with training new staff members and supervising sales activities when needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions.
- Previous supervising or leadership experience in a retail environment is highly valued.
- Ability to perform product demos confidently to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone or via online channels.
- Skills in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail math for accurate inventory management.
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail settings is advantageous for understanding fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills combined with friendly, approachable demeanor to foster positive customer interactions.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations efficiently.
