Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to clients in detoxification and residential treatment, performs assessments, administers medications and treatments, develops nursing care plans, collaborates with the Medical Director, and provides clinical oversight to ensure safe, evidence-based care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
· Administer medications, injections, IV medications (if applicable), and treatments.
· Monitor withdrawal symptoms, vital signs, and client response to treatment.
· Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
· Obtain and document vital signs, alcohol breath content, urinalysis, and drug screens.
· Assess potential clients for observational detoxification and determine the need for medical detoxification.
· Provide clinical oversight to nursing and detoxification staff.
· Ensure medication compliance, inventory, and security.
· Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
· Respond to medical emergencies and provide on-call support as assigned.
· Attend bi-weekly staff and CARF professional development meetings, providing input on facility improvement, treatment activities, and client programs.
· Collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective, efficient client care delivery and support the achievement of desired client outcomes.
· Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, and continuing education.
· Perform non-detoxification duties as needed and feasible.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current unrestricted Arkansas RN license.
- Current CPR/BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience in detoxification, behavioral health, emergency, or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
· Knowledge of addiction treatment and detox protocols.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR).
· Ability to abide by HIPAA and HIPAA Privacy Rules
· Ability to follow Agency guidelines as mandated in the staff and client handbooks
· Knowledge of proper medical observational procedures

- The RN will work primarily in a clinical setting within our residential facility.
- Crisis intervention and high-stress situations may occur as part of the role.
- May be required to operate a motor vehicle during duties.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
