The HR analyst is responsible for managing, analyzing, documenting and reporting on HR data, policies and procedures. The HR analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy, HRIS system functionality, employee training and documenting human resources operations and procedures.
- Support and maintain the optimal function of human resource information systems (HRIS), which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, testing, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules utilized by Human Resources.

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, training, and guidance to HRIS users.

Collaborate with administrators and HR staff to identify, recommend, document and implement system improvements and enhancements.

Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.

Creates documentation for technological policies, procedures, and training for Human Resources department.

Compile and/or assist with the development of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for Confidential use, inclusive of but not limited to, negotiation and collective bargaining strategy, by HR administrators.

Assess current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.

Identify, recommend, and program custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.

Will be expected to learn operations and activities of all the areas in the Office of Human Resources and of the College, as needed.

Serves as the project manager, and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.

Research trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

Analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to support recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly coded in HR systems.

Will stay abreast of all current technology developments in Human Resources.

Will make strategic recommendations for technology upgrades in the Human Resources department.

Works in collaboration with administrators on special projects and HR initiatives.

Serves on committees and represents the department as assigned.

Coordinates activities with other HR staff as assigned.

Participate in developing systems to update policies and procedures.

Performs related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
Two or more years of related human resources experience required. Demonstrated experience with compiling and analyzing HR data and knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Proficiency in HRIS software and reporting tools. Higher education and/or experience with Ellucian Colleague, Perfect Forms, SAP Business Intelligence, Hyland products, ImageNow, and other HRIS applications preferred.
