As Market Sector Principal Architect – Science & Technology, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of CPL's Science & Technology practice. As a true practice builder, you'll lead strategic growth, strengthen client partnerships, and deliver innovative, high-impact projects while helping expand our presence in the market.
You'll combine technical expertise with business leadership to guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor future leaders, drive operational excellence, and champion design quality. This is an opportunity for you to influence the direction of a growing practice while creating exceptional outcomes for clients, communities, and your team.

Grow and lead CPL's Science & Technology practice by developing client relationships, winning new business, and expanding market presence.

Lead multidisciplinary teams through the successful delivery of complex projects while ensuring design excellence, quality, and financial performance.

Mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and future leadership.

Partner with internal and external stakeholders to shape strategy, drive innovation, and strengthen CPL's reputation as a trusted industry leader.

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Architecture with 15+ years of experience, including at least 5 years leading complex projects; Registered Architect (RA) licensure required.

Proven success growing client relationships, developing new business, and leading high-performing teams within the Science & Technology or related market sector.

Deep expertise in design, project delivery, construction processes, and financial management, with the ability to oversee multiple complex projects.

A collaborative, strategic leadership style with exceptional communication skills and a passion for mentoring others, driving innovation, and building successful practices.

The rate for this position generally ranges between $119-$178K annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
