Position Summary
The Ground Operations Team Member plays an essential role in supporting our tree removal and pruning crews. This is a hands-on, entry-level position that doesn’t require prior tree work experience. You’ll assist climbers and equipment operators, help manage ropes, clean up work sites, and learn to operate tools and machinery. Key Responsibilities
· Assist climbers by managing ropes, rigging equipment, and communication during tree removals and pruning
· Haul logs and large limbs from the work area using proper lifting techniques or equipment
· Operate chainsaws, blowers, and other power equipment under supervision
· Clear debris and perform site cleanup to meet Bluestone’s quality standards
· Direct traffic and pedestrians around work zones when needed
· Perform daily equipment checks and assist with maintenance
· Participate in safety briefings and follow company procedures
· Represent Bluestone Tree in a professional and respectful manner
Qualifications
· No tree service experience required—we’ll train the right person
· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
· Willingness to learn and take direction
· Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team mindset
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Comfortable working around chainsaws, chippers, and heavy equipment
· Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform strenuous labor
· CDL or willingness to obtain is a plus
